How to make a forged rose
05.04.2021
We use sheet steel 1.5 - 2mm. The marking of the future product is very simple: we draw a circle with a diameter of 125-130 mm. (you can use a circle for a "grinder" 125 mm) and mark the center. Draw another circle about 40 mm in diameter from the center. Rose petals can be drawn by hand. The number of petals is from three to five. Let's mark three blanks for the flower petals and one for the sepals. We cut it out in an accessible way, process the edges and give the desired shape.
Now let's make a receptacle. We heat the workpieces. We punch with a ball, on a pipe of the appropriate diameter (40mm in our case). We beat off the edges of the petals with a hammer with a round striker.
. We apply the texture with blows from the back (the sock can be sharpened a little). It is imperative to beat off the edges of the petals, otherwise you cannot make a "living" rose. The texture can only be applied in prominent places.
We forge leaves. The shape and size should correspond to the concept and the chosen style.
We make the stem and calyx of the flower. Forging in this case gives an optimal result. We process the axis of the flower assembly to the desired diameter (at least 7 -8 mm).
We drill the blanks into the center of the hood. The parts must be forced onto the assembly axle. We start assembling. We put on, weld on and punch hot seams one by one with a “pipe” of the appropriate diameter. Moving on to heating and creating a rose using pliers and round nose pliers. The broken edges of the petals are bent easily. Obligatory brushing of the product.
Add leaves, and the flower was born. In this way, you can make forged lilies, poppies, chrysanthemums, etc.
The beauty of a forged rose is in its apparent tenderness. 😊
